Our fabrics are printed using the traditional copper plate printing technique. The etched copper plate produces very fine and high quality prints, which are generally monochrome. The designs are chosen from ancient documents.

This toile faithfully reproduces the illustrations of the Grandville (1840) edition of Daniel Defoe’s famous novel ‘Robinson Crusoe’. The toile was created by Charles Burger at the end of the XIXth century and the following scenes are represented: the shipwreck, the young Robinson on his raft, meeting Friday, the elderly Robinson with his parrot and his goat, and their departure using the boat they made.
